Indirect Procurement Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Manager to support procurement activities for our Benelux entity. This role is responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of indirect goods and services required to support local business operations, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and compliance with corporate procurement policies.
The role will act as a key coordination point with the HQ Procurement function, ensuring alignment with global procurement strategies and governance while supporting the development of localized procurement procedures and guidelines tailored to the Benelux market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop BENELUX procurement guidelines from scratch, ensuring alignment with HQ procurement policies while reflecting local business needs and market practices.
Manage procurement activities for indirect goods and services required by the Benelux entity, ensuring timely sourcing and cost‑effective purchasing.
Coordinate procurement requests from internal departments including Marketing, Operations, Sales, Logistics, Finance, HR, and Administration.
Serve as the primary contact with the HQ Procurement function, ensuring local procurement activities align with global procurement strategies, policies, and approval processes.
Ensure procurement activities comply with HQ procurement guidelines, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
Support the development and implementation of local procurement policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with global procurement governance.
Manage tender processes (RFI / RFQ / RFP) for indirect procurement needs when required.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, compliance standards, and cost competitiveness.
Support negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable commercial terms and service levels.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and support operational requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation including contracts, supplier records, purchasing data, and tender documentation.
Support procurement reporting and spend analysis to provide visibility into purchasing activities and identify cost optimization opportunities.
Key Procurement Categories (Indirect Spend)
Marketing Procurement (NPI & Events) – high priority; new product introduction (NPI) support, event management, branding and promotional materials, agencies, media buying, and marketing-related services.
Logistics & Operational Services – transportation support services, warehousing services, and operational vendors supporting business activities.
Facilities & Office Management – office equipment, facility services, utilities, maintenance, and workplace services.
IT & Technology Services – software licenses, IT equipment, system services, and related support services.
Professional & Corporate Services – consulting services, legal services, financial advisory, and other corporate support services.
Administrative & Business Support Services – office supplies, corporate services, and operational support vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within indirect procurement or corporate purchasing environments.
Proven marketing procurement experience is required, especially through NPI-related activities, events, agencies, and promotional spend.
Experience working in startup/ scale up environments is a strong plus.
Experience in the automotive industry is considered a plus.
Familiarity with tender processes, supplier negotiations, and procurement governance practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple procurement activities in a fast‑paced operational environment.
Fluent Chinese and English are required (written and spoken). Dutch is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
